SF Examiner: How to teach Gen Z to have real conversations with older adults - San Francisco Village

In a recent editorial piece for the San Francisco Examiner, Melanie Velasquez, co-leader of our Intergenerational Social Justice Working Group, writes about her experience navigating conversations and relationships with older generations. Mel shares what she learned from her experience co-leading a multi-week group at San Francisco Village which focused on anti-racism and anti-ageism. She writes “What even makes a group like this successful? Conversation among a diverse group of generations gives people the opportunity to look into their biases and assumptions.”
