Mary Lanier recently retired as a senior health care executive. For over 36 years her positions were generally broad scope leadership roles within large medical centers. Her professional experience encompassed highly diverse services, from inpatient, outpatient and long-term care clinical services, administrative departments, business development initiatives and new program implementation, physician practice management and ongoing collaboration with philanthropic programs and strategic planning. In addition, she led teams of employees through department and medical center mergers, consolidations and acquisitions, disaster planning, and new technology implementations. For the last 18 years, Mary was the Chief Administrative Officer Davies Campus, and Vice President Specialty Services, at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco.
She received her Master of Science in Nursing Services Administration and Psychiatric, Mental Health Nursing from the University of Illinois in Chicago, and received her B.S.N. in Nursing and B.S. in Psychology from the Loyola University of Chicago. Mary is a California License Registered Nurse. For a time she held certification as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrator. Mary currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for both San Francisco Village and On Lok Senior Health Services.
She resides in Oakland California with her husband Dr. Larry Wornian and has one son, Nathan Wornian in Seattle Washington.
